Woodcock Foundation

In 2015, the Partridge Foundation, a John and Polly Guth Charitable Fund, gave $250,000 for research at EMMC Cancer Care. The Partridge Foundation challenged Eastern Maine Medical Center to raise an additional $250,000 and pledged to match each $250,000 up to a total of $1.25 million.

As a result of this grant, EMMC will be able to expand the clinical research program, to support cancer patients across the state of Maine. Benefits to patients include greater access to clinical trials that will bring tomorrow’s treatments to Maine, today. The support from The Partridge Foundation will strengthen and broaden our research network to allow us to be competitive for future research funding, in effect, leveraging more support for local cancer research.

This funding is key in allowing more patients across the state of Maine to have access to new cancer therapies not otherwise available to them. The Partridge Foundation has played a significant role in improving care of EMMC breast cancer patients especially. We appreciate their generous support.
