Care Management Medical Director
Eastern Maine Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a physician leader to join our Care Management Team. 

The Care Management Medical Director is an administrative role that will support Care Management and Utilization Review initiatives.  The CM Medical Director will be responsible for upholding the Conditions of Participation regarding Utilization review, including managing admission, concurrent and retrospective review of cases referred by case management or the department’s professional staff.  In addition, the CM Medical director will chair the UR committee and act as a champion for case management personnel on physician related issues and act in support of case management processes and procedures.

The CM Medical Director will be a credentialed member of the EMMC medical staff and must have an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maine.

Preference shall be given for individuals with prior experience as a physician reviewer for Medicare, Medicaid PRO, a managed care company, as a hospital medical director or in a leading collaborate groups in performance improvement.

Colorectal Surgeon
Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE, Colorectal Surgeon to join our strong, established group of surgeons. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal disease, pelvic floor disorder, and surgically managing malignancies. Minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic experience preferred. 

Developmental Pediatrician
Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks an additional Developmental Pediatrician to join our interdisciplinary team, which currently  includes 1.5 FTE Developmental Pediatricians, 3 Clinical Psychologists, and occupational, physical, and speech therapists. We enjoy a broad clinical practice that includes interdisciplinary assessments, medical management, and outreach clinics at health centers in rural areas. Physician opportunities require an MD/DO or foreign equivalent, three-year family medicine or internal medicine residency, Maine physician licensure (or immediately eligible for the same), and board-certification in family medicine or internal medicine. Interest in obstetrics or inpatient medicine preferred. Interest in teaching is required.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing 9-9-9 program focusing on rural medicine. We are the sole program within our sponsoring institution, a tertiary care center with a supportive administration (the Chief Medical Officer is a former director of the program). Our program is accredited by the ACGME and AOA with Osteopathic Recognition expected in September 2017.

Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks two BC/BE neurosurgeons to join a growing hospital-employed practice. Experience and interest in spinal instrumentation/endovascular/tumors preferred. Excellent opportunity to work in conjunction with a multi-specialty trauma program, supported by skilled staff.

EMMC is in the final stages of a modernization including a Neuroscience center with a concentration on Stroke and Complex Spine. This modernization will consist of upgrades to our facility, operating room and equipment including a state-of-the-art 3D C-Arm guide and Image Guided Navigation systems. Eastern Maine Medical Center is the Regional Pediatric Specialty Center. Pediatric sub-specialty support includes surgery, gastroenterology, neurology, cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology, genetics, developmental pediatrics, orthopedics, urology, and ophthalmology. Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician
Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a BC/BE physiatrist to join five others in an established service-orientated hospital-employed rehabilitation practice that provides comprehensive in-patient and out-patient services.
