The loss of a child - at 9 weeks, 40 weeks, or after birth - can be earth shattering in its magnitude. The feelings of sadness and emptiness can be overwhelming and difficult for most to understand.
Empty Arms is a support group for parents grieving infant and pregnancy loss. Our philisophy is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life.
We are parents who have lost babies of our own and we have found that being part of a community of parents who understand is often the first step toward healing. In this monthly, open meeting, we share our experiences and reflect upon our struggles to grieve, heal and grow.
Empty Arms meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 - 8:30 pm at EMMC's Lactation and Perinatal Education Center located on Phillips-Oliver 5 - Enter through the MRI entrance and go up to the 5th floor. The room is on the right as you get off the elevator.
