The Joint Commission National Quality Approval Located at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, the EMMC Joint Center is a multidisciplinary program focusing on patients who are undergoing total, partial, and revision joint replacements. In April of 2010, EMMC became the first hospital in Maine, and only the third in New England, to earn The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for its hip and knee programs.
