As the regional referral center for the northern two thirds of Maine, our team of emergency care professionals provide care for more than 70,000 patients each year in their most urgent time of need.

Because we are an American College of Surgeons verified Level II Trauma Center, the communities we serve can be confident they have access to the most advanced, safest care possible. What’s more, patients who choose EMMC for their emergency care also have access to the resources of nearly 300 expert physicians and surgeons on the EMMC medical staff, and a highly skilled care team.
