EMMC Inpatient Pediatrics has a variety of
clinical staff available to ensure that your child gets complete care and spacious areas to support child and family needs, and even boost spirits.

A department head oversees the unit and staff, while ensuring that competent,
knowledgeable nurses care for your child.
Pediatricians and other physicians 
develop a plan of care to treat and discharge your child from the hospital as soon as possible.
Nurses work closely with physicians to
implement the plan of care, as well as administer medication and provide emotional and educational support.
Case managers help with care planning,
support services, insurance companies, and they coordinate discharge planning.
Social workers provide you and your family with support to help you cope with illness and/or any emotional issues that may arise.
Child life specialists use age appropriate teaching tools and toys to minimize fears and stress experienced by children receiving care.

Because EMMC is a teaching hospital, you will also see nursing and medical students, and resident physicians. EMMC Pediatrics also has a full staff of secretaries and certified nursing assistants.
