“Look at you!” will be the comment of the day during a special annual event at EMMC on May 1. Graduates of the Hilda C. Rosen Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will be back at EMMC to reunite with the staff of the EMMC NICU who cared for them as infants. The event will take place Sunday, May 6, from 2-4 pm in the Mason Auditorium at EMMC and all NICU families are invited to attend.
This annual event is a celebration of the wonderful success stories of hundreds of newborns who needed special medical help at the beginning, but have now grown healthy and strong. It’s great opportunity for families to reconnect with the staff of the NICU. And for the NICU staff, it’s a chance to pause and appreciate the results of their hard work. Imagine the satisfaction, after two or three months of careful nursing of a tiny, very ill baby, to see that fragile infant grown, running, and laughing. This is an event marked by lots of good cheer, laughter, a few happy tears, and games for the kids.
