(Bangor, Maine) – Keeping track of blood pressure and other basic health information is one of the most important things consumers can do to take control of their health. Eastern Maine Medical Center is celebrating National Hospital Week by holding a free blood pressure and body mass index screening event intended to make it easier for people to know where they stand.
The screening clinic will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 1-3 pm at the EMMC Healthcare Mall on Union Street. According to EMMC Wellness director Debi McCann, RN, the event is a perfect way to celebrate National Hospital Week.
“We know that knowledge is power when it comes to wellness,” she says. “National Hospital Week is a time when EMMC wants to empower people to think about their health status and make healthy changes. This screening clinic is the perfect opportunity for folks to meet the wellness team and learn something about their health.”
