The Heart Center of Eastern Maine, centrally located at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, is the only comprehensive heart center serving the northern two thirds of the state. Our team of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

EMMC cardiologists began performing cardiac catheterizations in 1973. Today, the Heart Center of Eastern Maine offers two cardiovascular operating rooms, three cardiac catheterization labs and an electrophysiology lab. EMMC's Heart Center employees care for more than 500 surgical patients and perform more than 6,000 cardiac catheterization procedures each year. And, the care our patients receive goes beyond the hospital. Our team at Cardiac Wellness of Maine, a state-of-the-art cardiac rehabilitation and prevention facility, is specially trained to work with cardiovascular patients who are on the road to recovery.
