EMMC provides company paid Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance to regular full-time employees. LTD insurance is designed to minimize the financial impact of a medical disability that prevents one from working for an extended period of time. All regular full-time employees are covered free of charge under this program. Disability benefits may begin once an employee has been medically disabled for 180 consecutive days. The plan provides up to 60% of an employee's regular monthly pay, to a maximum of $10,000 per month. These amounts are integrated with any other group plan or state mandated program such as Workers' Compensation, under which an employee may also be covered.
